Boost Me (for free)

The Dark Moon Greatsword from the Elden Ring game. I decided to make a profile for 68 cm when assembled. I am not a fan of really big props because they take so much space and require absurd amounts of time. My profile needs in total around 12 hours and 200gr of filament, which I think is reasonable. You can try  to make it bigger and cut it up in the slicer, but I don't recommend going over 1m in length, because I didn't use many triangles for this profile.

It prints in 3 pieces that are connected with two dowels. The blade needs minimal supports in a couple of place at the bottom leaves (added in the profile after printing and testing). The picture is without any supports and the plate at 60°C. It didn't have any issue even when I heard the nozzle rub a few times on them.

The hilt needs supports in the cavity I made for the blade but they can be removed by hand with a little effort or pliers if you feel fancy. At first it might be a little tight to fit the blade in the hilt but it actually fits nice and snug after the first insertion. I didn't have to sand or scale anything.

After dry fitting you can glue them together with some CA glue or with an adhesive of your choice. I did some dry brushing on the blade for a frost effect and minimal work on the hilt and the ropes

If you download the .stl file instead of the .3mf you will find the hilt and the blade sized for 1.5m but it's UNCUT. It's got a slightly better textured hilt and higher quality blade with an ~1mm tolerance gap for the blade to go into the hilt. I uploaded it because someone requested it. Again, it's not pre-cut like my print profile. If anyone prints that behemoth and assembles it, please share some photos, I am very interested!
