Description
This is a battery shell modification for DJI Mini 3 allowing the use of 21700 cells
What you need:
- A BMS (battery monitor sensor) pcb from an original DJI battery.
- 18 AWG Silicone wire (20 AWG works as well)
- Battery connectors - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000954334931.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.11.735b18025930Ii
- DJI battery killer software. You will have to google this one and figure it out on your own. There are some tutorials on Youtube. I do not know if you can use the full battery capacity if you don't modify the BMS firmware.
Print settings:
- Supports are not required.
- I recommend printing in ASA/ABS, I haven't tested this with PLA/PETG
- If the battery feels very loose you can edit the distance between the battery connectors. Reduce by 0.2mm if required.
Please note, the “push to release” is partially blocked by the cells as there is not enough space left inside the shell. Push more on the top side, it will be slightly difficult to take it out. This is by design as I don't want it to slide out during flight. If you want to make it easier you can remove 0.1mm off the end of the pins in the .f3d file.
