Description

Before you print,

use a strong, flexible filament! Gen 5 has a flared frame, a magazine well has to overcome it. If you use brittle or weak materials, they will snap. I've tried Bambu PLA matte to no avail. Overture Super PLA+ and even their normal PLA worked well. Hard TPU should also work. I'm guessing any PLA+ should be fine.

To install, angle the back of the magwell into the frame, then twist the front into the magwell lip. You can optionally secure it with a screw, though it won't come loose by itself—there is a claw in the front gripping the frame.

  • 2025-04-03, added fuzzy skin and an extra plate with a somewhat riskier orientation, but few blemishes if it succeeds
