has to drop to get on the rails and then it has to push up to get off

That's interesting, the rails fit perfectly for me. But it's always a bit tricky when it comes to tight tolerances. Can you tell me which filament you used?

I also always use PLA in different colors from different manufacturers. Maybe you could try to scale the model down a little bit. If you need help with that, just let me know.
