DIY FM/AM Shark Fin Antenna – Instructions

Materials:

  • 75 cm insulated copper wire
  • Rod (e.g., plastic or wood)
  • Cable (10–15 cm)
  • Cable lug and M5 screw
  • Waterproof double-sided adhesive tape
  • Adhesive

Instructions:

  1. Wind the 75 cm copper wire spirally around the rod
  2. Solder a cable to one end of the copper wire, the other end terminating in a cable lug
  3. Securely affix the winding and cable within the shark fin cover
  4. Feed the lug downwards and fasten it to the car’s existing antenna base using the M5 screw
  5. Attach the shark fin to the roof using waterproof double-sided adhesive tape

Note: Ensure all connections are well-insulated and waterproof
