Description

A semi-detailed model of a Brigantine type sailboat that is fully 3d printable.

Before printing:

  • Please note that there are some small pieces needed to build this ship
  • Having a way to remove thin objects from the build plate (e.g. scraper) is advised

Change log:

  • Added a second print profile with a different and updated hull design

Build guide:

The 3d printed cables can be cut to length after connecting, a simple way to stop them from falling off is to bend them slightly.

I chose to reduce the amount of rigging a bit in my build, however feel free to make it as complex or simple as you want.

  • Step 1: Clean off the supports

  • Step 2 : Assemble the masts.

  • Step 3: Connect the rudder
  • Step 4: Use the “cables” to connect the sails to the masts. (Having them all go on the same side makes the end result look cleaner)

  • Step 5: Place the masts on the hull (The smaller one in the back)

  • Step 6: Connect the Side Rigging as shown in the picture

  • Step 7: Place the Bell on the deck

  • Step 8: Connect the front Sails and bowsprit

    - Place the model on the stand
