This toy bow is inspired by Aloy's iconic weapon from Horizon Zero Dawn. Designed for fun and safe play, it features a mechanism that moves the limbs, a functional bowstring, and the ability to shoot arrows. The design captures the futuristic yet tribal aesthetic of the game, making it a perfect collectible or play accessory for fans of the series.

Ideal for cosplay, display, or interactive play, this bow brings the world of Horizon Zero Dawn to life in your hands!

Hand-painted with 3D model paints. I didn’t record a painting tutorial for this bow since I’m a beginner and it was my first time, but I’m happy with the final result. Painting turned out to be a better option than printing with AMS technology, as such small parts kept breaking due to the number of colors.

What do you need for assembly?

two rubber bands—I used ones sized 1.4 x 20mm

glue will be helpful; I used a gel-based instant adhesive containing ethyl 2-cyanoacrylate.

a piece of string

For the arrows, you’ll need toothpicks—I used regular ones meant for making skewers, with a diameter of about 2.3mm.

Assembly instructions are available in video format:
