Description
Replacement hinge screw for a Keter Fusion Shed. Why the original screw is made of plastic is beyond me but since I can't 3d print steel, I'm not doing any better I suppose. Mine broke due to the door frame being askew (probably user error) putting extra pressure on the bottom hinge.
Uses a 10mm hex key to screw in – the original has some weird slot perhaps to make it harder to unscrew for security reasons but I'm able to get in it just fine with a small pry bar so (and again, it's made of plastic…).
The version in the print profile matches the original screw however after modelling that I found an extra 15mm would be better to account for my askew frame, so I've uploaded that model as well.
Printed at a 45 degree angle to minimize shear force along layer lines. This requires support both for the threads which overhang at this orientation and along the shaft to prevent it from toppling over until it can meet up with the support higher up. I've printed in PETG which is working okay so far.
