Description

model of the famous german WW2 fighter plane in 1:72 scale

About aircraft

The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was a German single-seat, single-engine fighter aircraft used extensively during World War II. Designed by Kurt Tank, it first flew in 1939 and entered service in 1941. Known for its powerful BMW 801 radial engine, robust airframe, and excellent maneuverability at low to medium altitudes, the Fw 190 proved superior to many Allied fighters early in the war. It served in multiple roles, including fighter, fighter-bomber, and ground-attack aircraft. Later variants, such as the Fw 190D, improved high-altitude performance to counter Allied advancements. The Fw 190 remained a formidable opponent until the war's end in 1945.

Looks like perhaps an Fw 190 A-5. I printed it at 0.22mm High Quakity with a 0.4mm standard X1C nozzle. I printed at 70% size to match a Bf 109 die cast model. The print quality itself is great; it was a wonderful idea to print the fuselage and wings vertically. I tried a golden yellow band on the tail, which worked great, and on the wingtips, which were too thin. The slot fit for the wing is too tight (sanded and glued), and there is no slot for the horizontal stabilizers (glued).

Really nice model mate👍. Wings are made quite thin to not look out of scale in 1:72 scale. U can try to reprint it using .2 mm nozzle for even better looks and the wings should also come out sturdier😉.

Thanks! I’m so lazy to learn to change the X1C nozzle!
