Description
4" Blast Gate for Wood Working Dust Collector
A swing blast gate for a dust collector system with several connector options including 4" White PVC Sewer Pipe, Flexible and Metal. When using PVC pipe there is a little play in both options given that PVC pipe is not uniform in diameter, using an O-Ring or foam tape will solve this. Mix and match ends to fit your dust collector setup.
The blast gate contains a small replaceable piece where the bolt goes through so that if swing motion wears makes the blast gate become loose you don't need to replace the entire blast gate.
There are two options for the bottom piece, one that sits flush with the housing and one that includes a mounting bracket. The mounting bracket fits ¼ lag screws.
Updated: There now is an option to customize the opening straight connection through a parametric model.
Connector options
- Standard
- Pipe slots into the housing, contains a flange at the bottom so pipe does not slide into the blast gate.
- Bell end
- Contains a small groove for an O-ring to seal between housing and pipe. TPU filament can be used in this slot to make a flush fit.
- Flexible
- Magnetic with Threaded Coupler
- Uses 6 8mm x 5mm magnets
- Metal
- Fits 4" Galvanized Steel Round Pipe, 30 Gauge. Contains flange at the bottom so pipe does not slide into the blast gate.
- 4" to 2.5" Flexible hose
- Parametric
- Customize the standard opening so the pipe slides over the housing opening

- 3 x ¼ - 20 Hex Bolt 1" or 1.25" in length
- 6 x ¼ Plain Steel Washer
- 3 x ¼ - 20 Hex Nut
- 12 x 8mm by 5mm Neodymium Magnets (Optional)
