Description
Every BMW driver knows it: suddenly the fuel cap retaining strap is broken. Many don't know: This defect is relevant for the TÜV (German technical inspection).
Therefore, I offer here a retaining strap designed by me with Inventor, modeled after the original, for printing. It is recommended to print the strap from a good TPU due to its flexibility.
I have tried it myself, it works perfectly and the fit is superb. Time and filament consumption are very low, and above all MUCH cheaper than a new part, which costs 40 euros at BMW. The part number is: 16617193381. The eBay imitation retaining straps for 5 euros can be forgotten, they are so cheap that they break again after 6 months (I tried 2 pieces myself).
With my model, support structures still need to be broken off after printing!
