M3 Flat Ant Nest 3D Printable Design Shushan Ant House Open Source

Greetings, I am Shushan Ant Manor! I am open-sourcing two planar, infinitely expandable ant farms for your use, models A and B, plus an expansive activity area expansion. This link contains model A, which includes a small activity area. You can expand this with the large activity area and model B nests once your worker ants’ population grows.

Regarding the humidification water tower: The nest's air water tower requires a stainless steel mesh, secured using the printed retaining rings. The two humidity chambers necessitate embedding a 7mm diameter cotton wick for water conveyance. The bottom water reservoir in the two tanks holds approximately 25ml each. Water is added through two pinholes above the central chamber crossbeam, and two observation windows (requiring a small piece of acrylic secured with acrylic adhesive) allow for water level monitoring.

Concerning expansion: Model A (with integrated small activity area) can be used independently. Model B lacks an activity area and serves solely as an expansion chamber or in conjunction with the large activity area (available via my other links). Expansion is achieved via connecting components secured with screws.

Regarding acrylic cutting: Attached blueprints include diagrams for the planar nest's transparent and light-blocking covers, and all acrylic cutting patterns for the expanded activity area.

Other accessories: Acrylic adhesive, heat-set nuts (M3X3X4.2), machine screws (M3X7), cotton wick (7MM), stainless steel filter mesh (300-700 mesh).
