Your support fuels my creative endeavors

July 3, 2025: The model has undergone comprehensive optimization and now requires no supports, with significantly enhanced strength:

1. The fishing net's strength has been significantly improved; the revised version is highly durable;

2. The interface between the fishing net and the rod has been optimized. The fishing net no longer requires supports, and the net connection is now an octagon;

3. The fishing rod has been optimized to eliminate overhangs, preventing printing failures;

4. Testing with PLA and PETG yielded excellent results;

5. A 0.2mm clearance has been incorporated at the juncture of the rod and net. Should there be any looseness, a dab of adhesive may be applied

Happy printing

thank you for this, I created an addon that fits the other side, so I don’t have put my arm all the way in my tank to remove some debrid that’s been sucked against the filter.

the net is very flimsy. in my case it was a loose fitting between net and rod unless I forced in further into the hole. Will probably try to print again using different filament and will update review after

Unfortunately failed twice on Bambu Lab A1 with 0.4 nozzle, both times at the edge of the handle.

It seems the layers didn't adhere well, try increasing the nozzle and bed temperatures

The net part turned out perfect but I had a problem with the fit. It warped and the whole cable came out a bit crooked. I used a craft knife and it fit.

The design is excellent, however, it is somewhat prone to breakage

I've optimized a 2.0 version, but its reach isn't as extensive as this one, you may have overlooked it

Exactly what I was looking for! I shrunk the file to 60% to reduce hole sizes (probably did not have to but I did) and lengthened the handle to give me more reach. The bucket is not the most structurally sound print, I broke the net on the first print trying to attach the handle, but it is perfect for catching specific shrimp to relocate to the cull aquarium.
