Description
I thought I would re-visit the cable winder projects I have been working on as I wanted to design a fully Print in Place version.
This model I have designed is a simple ergonomic shape, easy print in place, and can be stacked, the pods are a friction push into place, which will be great for vacations/holidays etc as well as everyday cable management around the home or office.
These cable winders are designed for the generic mobile phone charging cables, they also work very well with the braided type as well.
To use you align the inner center slot with the outer body slots then center the cable and push into the generous slot, then with the cable hanging below the winder, wind clockwise until the ends are fully wound home, if one end is longer than the other simply push it into the winder.
To print, which I did on a textured PEI build plate, I let the plate cool down then popped the winders off, turn the handles clockwise to free the inner spool and remove any visible signs of stringing, this easily pulls out if there is any.
Another very useful easy Print in Place Project.
Thanks for Looking.
