Outlet Child Safety Lock

This child safety device provides rapid protection against the dangerous voltage emanating from electrical sockets.

Its advantage is that the socket remains usable without cumbersome removal of the protector.

My design is the only one available for download here on MakerWorld; all other models block the socket, requiring repeated removal of the protector.

Printing requires no supports, only a brim, which also serves as an assembly aid.

For successful printing, the printer and filament must be well-calibrated. Some dexterity is advantageous, as the spring mechanism is delicate.

I have printed and assembled it several times; it functions flawlessly.

I request that those lacking patience, absolute beginners, or those fond of tinkering with print profiles refrain from printing or rating this item. Poor ratings typically reflect the aforementioned issues.

Assembly instructions:

After cooling, carefully remove both parts from the print bed. Ensure the spring remains intact.

The brim should be cut into two pieces and used as a guide on both sides, as shown in the image.

The round disc should be oriented so that the socket holes are offset by 90°.

Now carefully slide it in with gentle pressure, avoiding damage.

Once the round disc is centered, the assembly aids can be removed.

The four-sided locking mechanism can be subsequently positioned using a blunt cutter; avoid cutting.

A click indicates correct placement.

If successful, apply double-sided adhesive tape to the back to secure the protector in place.
