Description

This soldering fume extractor is designed to make your workspace safer by efficiently filtering out harmful fumes while you solder. It features a 130mm activated carbon filter, commonly available on platforms like AliExpress, paired with an 80mm or 92mm fan for optimal airflow.

Key Features:

  • Effective Fume Extraction: The 80mm/92mm fan pulls soldering smoke into the filter, reducing airborne fumes and improving air quality while you work.
  • Activated Carbon Filter: The 130mm filter captures harmful particles and gases, ensuring cleaner air in your workspace. It’s easy to replace—just remove the four screws on the back.
  • Stable and Compact Design: The extractor stays securely in place on your workbench, giving you a stable, distraction-free setup as you work.
  • Smoke Hood: The built-in hood helps direct smoke into the filter, making the extraction process more efficient.
  • Simple Setup: Assembly is quick with four M4 bolts (35-40mm) and nuts. To secure the filter in place, use four M3 10mm bolts or 3mm screws (recommended). No glue required!

This fume extractor is a must-have for anyone doing soldering work, whether you’re a hobbyist or a professional. It’s a practical, easy-to-use solution for creating a cleaner and safer workspace. If you find it useful, feel free to share and spread the word!

Fume extractor 80mm fan
Really solid design here. I ended up making a pair of fronts and ditched the carbon filter ... for me its more about redirecting the solder fumes. Orange PLA is the only color to use :) I rescaled the design +16% as my screw holes were 83 mm apart. Power is a 5V USB adapter and custom cable. Fan is very quiet.

Hi, I just uploaded a profile for this same design for a 92mm fan (it's not just a rescaling; it keeps more or less the same dimensions, and the filter is still the same as the 130mm one). Thanks for the feedback.

Fume extractor 92mm fan
Great model, works really well! Printed mine in PLA (orange and black) and it came out perfect. The fit for a 92 mm Papst fan is spot on and the parts snapped together nicely without supports. I mounted the filter in front so the fan pulls the air through, and it actually removes solder smoke surprisingly well even at 15–20 cm distance. Very happy with this one – simple print, clean design and it really does the job. Highly recommended!

Is there anyway I could get this design in a 92mm fan size? I have a bunch of these and they are high rpm so create great suction - just I can't find any suitable models.

Yes, give me some time ;) Today i will upload that version. **Edit**: Hi, I just uploaded a profile for this same design for a 92mm fan (it's not just a rescaling; it keeps more or less the same dimensions, and the filter is still the same as the 130mm one). Thanks for the feedback. You can download it and test it (i haven't printed but in CAD looks perfect)
