Description

A shelf holder to be fixed in accoustic panels (space between panels 13 mm). I wanted to use the space on top of my coat hangers.

The shelf on top should be 20 cm deep to fit tightly. I tested 4 holder with a 120 cm long shelf board holding ~8 kg easily. Since most of the panels are glued or stapled, I would be very carefull not to put to much weight on this and risking damaging the panels.

The small holder are first placed in between the panels and turned by 90° to grab inside the foam. Then the shelf holder can be fixed with a 3 mm screw (I used 1.2 cm in length).

New printprofile for different panels and shelfs. Be careffull to select the right one ;)

Added a second printprofile for boards of 15 cm deepth. Should fit on a A1 mini (total length 17,1 cm).
Added a version for accoustic panel with a space of 15 mm between the panels. It hast still a shelf depth of 20 cm.

agree with designer that it’s best not to put too-heavy things on these but from my melody the staples used on these slats are pretty heavy duty and can withstand a lot (when I was sawing them and removing the staples it took a lot of strength to pull them out. confirming the design slots into a 13mm gap just fine and it sits flush. for a very clean look go an M3 x 12 black countersunk screw, or M3x16 if you don’t mind going into the felt a little bit but it shouldn’t be necessary. this design was perfect because most ikea shelves you can buy standalone are 20cm deep and a lot of people on makerworld only made sub-15cm options.

Hey that looks awesome. So I see 2 print profiles, one is the long version, the other is the short version. But both of these version are for space between panels of 13 cm? What I would need is a long version for space between panels of 15 cm

Hi, thanks for the praise. Yes that is right, both are currently for 13 mm width. I try the next days to make a version for 15 mm. I can not test them of course, since i do not have the panels with this width. But you can tell me then if it works ;).

Width 15mm (Space between panels) for 20 cm board

My panels were only 1/2 inch wide so I ended up cutting both parts down to fit. Worked perfect though. Exactly what I needed. Back part that slides under the boards was also strong enough. I was worried about the wings but it worked perfectly. I like how it's embedded into the shelf arms so it cannot rotate as well. I had others that would eventually spin but these stayed exactly where you want them.
