POOP DEFENDER 5000 - mp5works
Print Profile(8)

Description
As the name suggests,… my solution to the “wild poop jumping around the build plate” problem -_-
Includes a PTFE bumper angled at 30 degrees and top cover plate to deflect any ricochets.
I`ve had it grinding hard for a week without any incidents so might as well upload it now.
Is it 100% ? Probably not, but worked so far.
For this project I have used whatever came with the printer.
Remember these screws you removed when you unboxed your printer? Either bed or AMS securing screws works fine.
If you have a choice I would go with the shorter ones (AMS ones if I remember correctly).
Alternatively any 3mm screw up to 28mm long will work just fine.
- Spare piece of PTFE tubing.
- Any pliers to hold PTFE tube while tightening the screw.
- Look at attached photos if you need further guidance with the assembly.
Each print profile has a 2nd build plate attached with a PLA profile for the PTFE tube cutting jig
… or simply eyeball it. You want an angled end of the tube to allign with the poop chute body.
Please note:
I did attach PLA profiles only because I had them done already. I used them for the initial testing purposes.
PLA might be fine if that`s all you print and keep your enclosure ventilated, otherwise it will warp from the heat eventually.
Enjoy!
