Description

A fashionable stool fabricated with 3D printed parts in addition to 24 wooden 1/2" dowels (55cm long).

To assemble the entire stool, you will need:

3x Bottom pieces
3x Top pieces

1x Center piece

6x Attachment pieces
24x M3 screws for the attachment pieces
3x 3cm diameter floor pads

The top is a wood plaque cut into a circle, however, it can be whatever shape or material you would like!

I have tested and printed the stool as seen in the pictures. I am able to sit on it and supports 80kgs without any problem. The 3D parts are printed with 10% hexagon infill and 2 walls, nothing crazy.

However, the wood dowels that are available in Canada are pretty bad tolerance wise which is why the holes for dowels are significantly larger in the model (13.25mm). I am therefore providing the f3d file for fusion. In the file, there are two pipe features called MODIFY_THIS_1 and MODIFY_THIS_2. Simply change the diameter required on these two in order to suit your needs. If using significantly smaller dowels, I would recommend just scaling the whole stool, as it kind of ruins the design proportions wise.

Nice complex model. I scaled it down 75% to use 10mm dowels for a patio side table. I had an underextrusion problem with the 0.6mm nozzle (my print profile). I printed it with PETG. I added a 12-inch acacia serving platter for tabletop..

I like it! looks awesome with the serving platter for tabletop! I though of scaling it down too in order to make a set.

Hey. I really like this table and want to build it. But I want to use 8mm or 12mm round wood. Can you customize this or upload the CAD data so I can customize it myself?

Yes of course! Are the rods you are using exactly 12mm or 8mm? I can adjust for tolerances for you. I am still testing the model, once i finish it I will adjust it for you! Wouldnt want to cause any problems with bad files!

In Germany, I readily obtain 8, 10, and 12mm rods; these are standard mass-produced items

Hi! I absolutely love your 3D model — thank you so much for sharing it. I have a small request, and I’d be incredibly grateful if you could help me. The holes in the part are currently 13 mm in diameter. Would it be possible for you to please adjust them to 12 mm and upload the updated files? Unfortunately, I don’t have Fusion, so I’m not able to make this change myself. I would really, really appreciate your help — it would mean a lot to me. Thank you so much in advance for your time and kindness!

Hi! I hope your finals went well and that everything is going great for you. I just wanted to kindly follow up about the 12 mm hole modification for the model. I completely understand that you’ve been busy, so no worries at all — I just wanted to check in whenever you have a chance. I’d still really love to print your design, and I would be extremely grateful if you’re able to update the files when you have some free time. Thank you again so much for your time and kindness!
