This unique 3D-printed levitating globe features an openwork design where the continents are hollow, allowing the glowing core inside to shine through. The model is designed to be used with a magnetic levitation kit, enabling the globe to float and rotate effortlessly in mid-air. The combination of intricate detailing and mesmerizing illumination makes it a stunning decorative piece, perfect for desks, shelves, or display areas
The base is styled to resemble wood, with print settings specifically adjusted to enhance this effect. To achieve the best results, the model is divided into two separate print profiles—one for the globe and one for the remaining components.
Tip: The electronics in the levitation kit tend to overheat, causing the model to suddenly drop from the magnetic cushion. Once this happens, it won’t levitate again until it cools down.
Avoid using the levitation kit near other electronic devices or metal parts, as they can negatively impact heat dissipation. During my tests, when placed close to a computer and monitors, it overheated within minutes. However, when positioned further away, it rotated smoothly for several hours without issues.
