Here are a couple videos to show my Axial 1/24 scale JLU climbing to the top of the XL Rocks…. Yes it is possible……

These are the MEDIUM size rocks under 160mm in height, which are perfect for the 1/24 scale and can be used with the 1/18 scale. There are more rocks coming geared for the 1/18 size that I will be releasing soon. These rocks are challenging depending on how you set them up. They can be rotated to create a different line to crawl. Just 2 rocks can create 16 combinations when rotated. A fun challenge is creating what I call the PONR (Point Of No Return) Pit. You can place 4 blank plates in middle and surround those 4 plates with these medium size rocks in which the steeper area faces inside of the pit. This will allow you to crawl easily inside the pit and challenge yourself to get out without tipping or rolling your rc vehicle over. I would start with printing Rocks #2 and #5. These are great for the pit and you may end up wanting to print each one twice. These are 2 of my favorite rocks for pushing for pushing the scx24.

I have printed all these rocks with a Bambu Labs X1 Carbon 3D Printer with NO Supports and have not had any issues. I printed these rocks on low setting of .28 quality. You want to at least 15% density. I use flexible bed plate on my 3d printer so parts are easily removed. I also would recommend to use Krylon Fusion All-in-One Textured Granite. This provides good traction for your tires when climbing. I have tried other textures and this grey textured granite has been my favorite. If you try to use the rocks without some kind of textured paint, you will notice that your tires will slide around a lot more. Enjoy, and please leave feedback….. I'd like to hear your experience and your thoughts on it. And end-user mentioned using the Fuzzy Skin…. This may actually be a great idea. I'm currently printing a rock with the Fuzzy Skin on it now to test it and will update model if I see an improvement. This may also be a great combination with the Krylon Texture Paint.
