This is a printable version of the Ibishu Pigeon from BeamNG.drive, more beamNG related projects can be found here.
While i intended this purely as a fun novelty item for fans of the game, it turned out quite robust and could be used as a toy car perfectly fine aswell, the wheels do spin after all.
I do not have detailed instructions made because i think the assembly process is fairly intuitive, but i have a few tips to ensure it goes smoothly:
- i strongly recommend that you glue the front & rear parts of the body together as your first step, if you have a printer with good tolerances these parts will likely be quite loose, give them time to dry before continuing the assembly.
- the part “pigeon_windows_A” has to slide in before inserting “pigeon_windows_B”, do not glue part A unless you are certain it is centered, otherwise part B won't fit trough.
- since this model is intended to be AMS-free i have chosen to only have blinkers in the rear bumper, if you prefer having brake lights, open the print profile and move parts named “pigeon_blinker_rear” to their own plate to print them in red.
- if you are printing this as a toy, consider printing the wheels in TPU, it will probably help them spin on smooth surfaces
