Description

Magnetize and demagetizer your screwdrivers or other tools with this keychain magnetizer. This requires four 10x3mm or two 10X6mm neodymium magnets.

IMPORTANT: YOU MUST BE SURE TO PLACE THE MAGNETS IN THE SLOTS SO THEY REPEL EACHOTHER (LIKE POLES MUST FACE EACH OTHER)

OR

Operation: Run your ferrous metal tool/object through the “MAG” portion to magnetize or through the “DEMAG” side to demagnetize. Running the object through multiple times seems to work better. When demagnetizing, keep the object close to the arc on the bottom for best results.

Fantastic - perfect size, easy to print, works like a charm. I boosted it to 5 walls to make it solid. TIP: To prevent the magnets from attaching to the nozzle, use a cheap 3D pen (AliExpress has tons of them) with matching filament to secure the magnets. Slip the magnets into the slots, then use the pen to fill in the open space on the downward slope of the magnet. Just run the pen from side-to-side once or twice to get a nice glob that doesn't over flow. If you get too high, use a spatula to tap it down while hot or a razor knife to cut it when cold. Then let the printer finish the job. I find this is faster, better looking, and less messy than super glue.

Thanks for the boost. The few that I printed, I found that the magnets will stick to the plate and do not pull to the nozzle. I did not glue nor use a 3D pen. I suppose that different printer nozzles or non-spring steel plates might require glue or 3D pen. Thanks for the tip.

I had 10x1 magnets, 7 pcs per side and it works perfectly. It even pauses at the right moment to put magnets. Thanks!

Printed perfectly and works great! My only issue is that I can’t get it to demagnetize no matter how many passes I do or what I try. Not a huge deal since I really did this to magnetize my Alan wrenches and don’t really need them to be demagnetized but…just in case someone WOULD need that to work… Thanks for sharing the file!

demagnetizing requires twisting and being at the bottom of that small slot while moving the tool back and forth. even rubbing it beneath the slot a bit can help... even then it may have minimal impact. Thanks for the review and rating.
