Boost Me (for free)

Boosting is free for you and it helps me to keep designing. Thank you!

1/8/2026 - The insert compatible version has been added to this page as a new print profile.

7/31/2025 - I've uploaded a new model that is more “universal” - it includes inserts to accommodate different diameter brushes. Give it a look, especially if you have brushes of different sizes - https://makerworld.com/en/models/1657406-universal-inverted-brush-holder-for-painting-v2#profileId-1753023

3/24/2025 - An updated version is available on this page. The new version has a smoother transition from the shaft to the brush holder which will result in a cleaner print and a more refined look. I also added a hole in the middle if you want to add a few brushes to store with the tips pointing up.

This is an updated version of my last inverted brush holder. This one does not need supports and makes inserting the brushes easier.

I added a larger diameter tapered hole so the brush tips don't get stuck on the edges.

Inverted brush holders like this are ideal for your brush's longevity as it allows moister to follow gravity down and away from the brush tip instead of ending up in the ferrule.

This can accommodate most brushes for mini and hobby painting. If you have larger brushes that don't fit in the holes, you could scale this up to help.

Hello and thank you for this model. Printed in Bambu PLA Basic and matte, it had a few minor flaws. I took the opportunity to make three small modifications: a more gradual curve, a small cup at the base, and a hollow trunk to put whatever you want, possibly ballast. The remix is in PETG

works well. I printed both versions (larger in blue, smaller in pink). I found it fit my flat and round brushes in size 8 well even if I had to turn them a little. I could use a medium size or even one with multiple sizes but I did like these overall. I also tried with my brushes for painting minis and the smaller one was perfect

nice print, the holes could be a bit bigger so that more are fitting

I'm working on a new version with different size "collets" you can print so the hole size doesn't matter - just the brush size. Thank you for printing and rating!

Printed well but the bottom brush holes were too small for even our fine brushes.

My Wife does Medieval Calligraphy she uses super fine Nail brushes for Micrography and Dot work. these are the brushes she was wanting to put in it. the little ones across the bottom. (Not the Fan style)

I have a version right now that has a larger opening at the bottom. It is around 7-8mm wide. Before I send this off to print, does that sound like it might work better for your brushes? (Even better if you have a caliper and can tell me their thickness at the ferrule)
