Glad you enjoyed the models 🙂. That gold looks interesting, closer to a true brass casing color -- what filament did you use for the gold casings?

Oooh, interesting, I have yet to try PLA basic bronze, but this makes me extra curious to try it since I've been on the lookout for nearly a year now for a filament that more accurately looks like bullet brass than silk gold. Thanks for the tip.

Hey, I found a mesh bug on the stand. Not sure if it's just me or if others are having the same issue?

Thanks for letting me know, the pictures are super helpful, I'll look into it 👍. It looks like it was some sort of artifact that occurred in the STL export 🤔

It is really amazing idea and i was ready to print BUT I noticed that you probably exported as .stl first and then you imported to the bambu studio which caused these vertical lines "fragmentation" on your curved surfaces which is annoying. Could you please export in step and re-upload your 3mf files? This will fix these artifacts. Thank you in advance!

The vertical lines are more likely to be from polygon limits of the software I was using, but in the year or so since I originally posted this the polygon limits have gone up and I found ways to increase them even more. Coincidentally literally as I type this I'm working on updating all the warthog rounds to be higher polygon and even more realistic, so there will be an update soon for all of the warthog rounds.

great news! It was cool already, I hope you did not get me wrong, I just wanted them to be as much perfect as such a great model deserves to be!

All good, I always appreciate feedback good or bad, bad feedback is especially useful, there's been a few times where I've posted a model and didn't realize anything was wrong with it until someone posted a comment and that was the only way I knew to fix it and was very glad that they told me about it. The updated versions are pretty much tested and ready to go, but I still have to put together all the new images for them and stuff before I can post them so it'll still take a little bit of time but hopefully it'll be relatively soon

Just what I was looking for. I have a genuine spent casing I got from my dad. All that's missing is the bullet! Thanks!!!!!!

I had to do some scaling to fit in the spent casing. Here's the results:

Nice, glad you got it to fit 👍 Yeah I figured a little bit of scaling would be needed since the tolerance is on the real thing can be a little bit variable and it has to fit pretty snug.
