Soldering Station / Case

Features and Design

• Modular case designed to hold a soldering iron and accessories.
• Transforms into a soldering station:
  • The inner lid serves as a soldering base thanks to a magnetic sheet.
  • The box base becomes an accessory wall.

Fastening System

• Based on magnetic Gridfinity 4x4 and 4x1, but also usable without magnets (some items remain interlocked).
• Magnets and magnetic sheets are recommended on the base of the box and the lid.

Materials and Assembly

• Recommended materials: PETG (preferred) or PLA.
• Necessary components:
  • Two 168x168 mm magnetic sheets
  • 6x2 mm magnets (not as in the picture)
    • 6 for the box
    • 5 additional if you want to integrate a hub for fan sockets, LEDs and soldering iron

Printing Options

• Two variants available:
  1. Split print into two parts (separate lid and box)
  2. Complete vertical print (lid and box printed together)
• Printer compatibility:
  • Optimized for A1 mini
  • Possible future larger version if the project is well-received

Printing Notes

• Vertical print:
  • Pause before the last layers to insert 5 internal magnets (for compatibility with the hub to be released in the future)
  • Resume printing after insertion.
• Split print:
  • The 5 external magnets can be fixed with a little glue if the hole is too large
