Weekly Pill Box (15 compartments for morning and evening, ratchet)

Abstract:

My memory isn't the best, and I often forget if I've taken my medication (regular routines and brain health are crucial!), so I designed this weekly pill organizer. Beyond medication storage (this dispenser isn't airtight; long-term storage requires considering environmental temperature and humidity's effects on medications), its primary function is tracking medication intake.

Advantages:

1. The dispenser features fifteen compartments: fourteen for a week's worth of twice-daily medication, and a fifteenth for newly added pills.

   

2. With the lid closed, each compartment is independent and sealed, preventing pills from mixing during movement.
3. A fifteen-tooth ratchet mechanism ensures each rotation advances to the next compartment.

Points to Note:

1. Currently, I only take two small pills per dose; therefore, the compartments are relatively small. Larger capacity can likely be achieved through proportional scaling (untested).

   

2. The lid and base fit snugly, making opening slightly difficult, but this ensures the dispenser remains closed during movement.
3. Rotation requires significant force, posing a risk of pills ejecting from the dispensing port. It is recommended to use your left index finger to cover the port (as shown below) while rotating.
