Description

Mini Vinyl Record Player / Turntable.

The record spins and your chosen music plays via mp3!

  • Minor updates Feb 26: I have slightly improved the parts of the lid that hold the lever switch and also added another “paddle" that has a slightly larger opening as sometimes the original size one came up too small.

Boost Me (for free)

This is my first "complex" project and everyone I've made one for loves it - so I'd be very grateful if you'd boost it!

This project does require parts and soldering but full instructions are attached!

Parts required:

  • A DFPlayer MP3 module.
  • An SD card (32gb max)
  • An N20 motor, approx. 16 rpm at 3V (or 30 rpm at 6V etc).  See pictures.  You can use one with the shaft at a right angle or one where the shaft is in line with the motor body but I VERY MUCH recommend using the right angle motor as everything fits better!
  • A limit switch with a 28mm lever.
  • A 3xAAA battery holder
  • A small speaker e.g. 4 Ohm 3W.
  • Stripboard, jumper wires, soldering iron, solder etc.
  • Wire (I use 20-24 AWG).  You will need 4 lengths of approx. 80mm each.
  • Optional: 50mm diameter toy vinyl records. There is one to 3D print on the third plate but the ones you can buy look a bit better in my opinion.
  • Glue, double sided sticky foam pads etc.
