Description

This is an 87mm oil filter wrench for BMW, designed for a 24 mm socket.

 

⚠️ IMPORTANT: NEW & IMPROVED V2 IS NOW AVAILABLE! Based on your feedback, I have released a much stronger and more precise version of this tool. Changes in V2:

  • Direct 1/2" Square Drive (No 24mm socket needed!)
  • Refined Fit (86.7mm) for a tighter grip.
  • Improved Depth to reach the bottom of the filter cap.

Printed in ABS. It Is an ok fit. Suspect it really need to be 86.5mm as seems to be just a little loose on fitment. Also as a option a higher one so tools rest all the way down on filter cap would be a nice to have. However, saying all this, It does work, and as long as your not a gorilla tightening this, it will work to factory specs fine.

I agree with this. “cup” needs to be deeper by about a quarter inch and slightly smaller “inner diameter” to fit properly.

The model itself is great but it's not too strong when using a socket wrench to turn it

Easily takes 25-30 Nm, as required by the service book, and you can print at an angle if you want to improve strength.

Other Issues:Unfortrunately does not fit on my BMW N46B20 oil filter cap. It is not deep enough and slips off.
