Description

This mini utility knife is like a 5th gen remix of multiple others stemming from k-eye's keychain knife [which itself is a remix of multiple other models] with some improvements I've added for smoother sliding and better grip.

Put blade on slide, and slide that in to the body by pressing down on the lever to lock it in and out of place. Easy Peazy.

*Update - Most recently added the little grips on the sides and updated the profile (just not the pictures)

Disclaimer Stuff:

Please be careful when handling blades. Razor blades are sharp so there's risk of injury. I'm only providing the design, handling of item is your responsibility.

I’ve printed several models and profiles of utility knife, and this one prints and works the best. smooth action, good click, easy to open and close with one hand.

the construction is minimalist, but very flimsy and unsafe, I wouldn't put such a knife in my pocket, it's not very convenient to open and close

.. you're not supposed to put any of the printed utility knife models in your pocket or bag.. never do that.. .. and this model and the ones by k-eye are the easiest to open and close with one hand..

I just printed this out today, and it works fantastically. The assembly was slightly unclear, but I figured it out using the GIF provided by @Ocular Dynamic and the photos posted by @user_22323828. Additionally, I slightly greased the rails (images below) of the 3D printed slider to make the blade slide smoothly. I have no complaints about this utility knife; everything works well, and the security of the blade in this 3D print is top-notch. The utility blade will not slide or fall off this 3D printed knife, especially with the safety lever (image below). Below are images of a step-by-step assembly. As well as pictures of the 'rails' and the 'safety lever'. Instructions: 1. Take the slider (smaller piece in this 3D print) and insert the blade FIRST into the lip. Once in the lip, slide the blade so the indents of the utility blade align with the notches in the slider. 2. Flip the slider and insert it into the main body, using the lever (when needed) to allow the blade to slide.

I like the look and quality of the design, but the finger release is a little difficult to use.
