Boost Me (for free)

If you find this model useful, boost it please! It's free to you and helps me continue to design new models to share with the community.

This is an improved version of my previous build. This build will use 4 - 4x2mm magnets. The design is with a print in place hinge. If you have issues with the hinge not working correctly, you likely need to calibrate your filament. I have had no issues using PLA with this design.

I wish it were the same size as a real game case. That would have made it perfect. The profile itself is great if you don't mind it not matching.

I could potentially make one where it is the same size. Is that what you mean by not matching?

Sorry yes, that's what I meant. I was hoping it'd fit in a stand with the other boxes like this: https://makerworld.com/en/models/425285-nintendo-switch-1-2-game-case-holder#profileId-328871

Ok, let me see about expanding the model. I will create a different print profile for it.

This design is my favorite one I've seen so far on here. The print came out perfectly. The only issue I have is that the games are way too hard to get out. I can barely get them out, but my kids cannot. Has anyone tinkered with it and solved that issue? I'll also try to tinker with it myself. Thanks @Average3DPrints

I can see about giving more space in the slots.

So I tinkered with the print by using a file to sand down the tiny protruding bumps that hold the games in the slots. That did the trick!

Very nice model, slim and it looks awesome! The fit came out a bit tight (for cards and magnets), however still better than too loose. Boost given! :-D

Great print, but not sure about the tolerances. Standard bambu lab profile and PLA gave a case with cartridges impossible to remove without an external tool, like a knife or something.

Given you a bosot cause i like the design and cause its useful. in all honesty i printed it and when i went to clasp it together, the hinge cracked... one half did in two spots. so not it doesnt open nicely, but maybe i was just too forceful. i glued 1 of the pieces that cracked back on it so its okay now. my magnets are too small for the holes, but i super glued those in aswell. thanks for sharing this even though mine was a little rocky, i dont think its cause of your design. its my own fault.

Thank you! I have been thinking of making one that uses metal dowel pins for the hinge as well. I printed it perfectly several times on my X1C, but I did have to tune my filament on the P1S.

a suggestion would be instead of a pin, maybe a filament can be used. also printed one and the hinges cracked. I would also suggest maybe to make changes in orientation or strength?
