Description

I have another MOD I did on my awesome Cablab Bartop Arcade build. I printed my arcade with a UV reflective filament and I wanted to highlight that it was UV reactive. I think it turned out pretty good. I hooked up x5 (5mm) LED UV lights to the 12V power source. I tried LEDs with a round top and also with a flat top. The round top LEDs gave better results, although flat top LEDs would also work.

I had to have a place to mount the lights and there was plenty of room in the speaker panel and it also allows the lights to remain hidden. I did angle (in the print) the lights to make sure they highlighted the control panel and the panel around the LCD screen. It all turned out quite well and I am very happy with the results.

The filament I used was bought from Amazon and is called ZIRO Fluorescence PLA Filament found here ---->  https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H3II92C/ref=twister_B0915GYGZY. I used Fluo green, but I also bought the Fluo orange. Both colors are absolutely amazing even without the UV lights. If you want neon colors, this is the best stuff I have seen. Adding the UV lights to it just takes it to the next level. The filament printed great and I had absolutely no problems.

I used 5mm round top UV lights found here ---> https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C5J7BBS7?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

Other than some wire, that should be all you need. Just hook the lights up to 12V. I did try the UV lights on 5V and they did work, but it looks better with 12V.
