FAST-RACK ( Filament Spool Rack )
Print Profile(10)

Description
This is a Filament spool rack. It is designed to print very fast. Speed is number one priority, strength, functionality, and efficiency of materiel use closely follow the speed of this model. Designed specifically for print ability and speed with Bambu PETG HF. Prints in about one hour (in sport mode) each module, and uses less than 75 grams. Try it you will love it.
It also has a curved cut out in the front for ergonomics, so you can easily grab a box off the shelf.
Send it to print and read the full description so you can think about the configuration you want to build in your space.
Please post pictures of your mega structures, I love to see how you use this model !!!

If you saved a small fortune in the cost of Filament and hundreds or even tens of hours of printing with this model, please give this model a boost or two to let me know how much you appreciate the time and material cost savings and to help me make more cool models, it really does help a lot. Thank you :D
Dry your Bambu PETG HF filament to 10% RH and clean your build plate maybe use super tack plate. ( I used textured PEI )
Use glue for the ends of the side rails first layer
YOU MUST USE MY PRINT PROFILE it will not print nearly as fast with out it and it probably will be very weak because this model prints with 0.75mm walls with Arachne print style, if you don't know what that is then just trust the .3mf that I provided.
Print base level first as the foundation for the first racked level in each column, and join them side by side if you have more than one column with the side-by-side rail component in the Rack Module print profile.
Select or unselect side rails or Side-by-Side rails according to your build (I recommend 6 wide and 15+ tall )
Print in sport mode for each module to print in about one hour each module.
DO NOT PRINT IN LUDICROUS MODE the extruder clutch will skip because the nozzle can not melt the plastic fast enough. if you have E3D nozzle try it and report back if it worked or not though.
this model may be compatible with the Feather weight filament rack but the geometry of this model has been highly optimized for speed of print ability, strength and reliability of fitment. especially with respect to print ability on Bambu Lab A1 printer.
Use foam tape or double sided stickers to secure your monitor riser platform if it is made of wood or something else that would be slippery if it was simply sitting on top of these FAST-RACK modules.
Add A1 style support feet from the bill of materials to your base level so that it does not slide around on smooth surfaces!
Remember to install your side and back rails before each new level.
you may need to firmly tap each corner into place to get it to click in place. there should be no gap between module legs when fully seated in to place. when tapping it into place with a small hammer or something be sure that you are tapping it directly in line with the leg to make each corner go into place just like gently driving a nail with a hammer. this is the direction that the legs are the strongest.
this is designed to be more easily assembled and taken apart if you need to. and if you choose to wall mount it the base level should be clipped in strongly enough by design to easily hold up a 1Kg spool, If you choose to wall mount it I recommend that you put wall anchor screws in every hole of the modules for the first four bottom levels. after that you may not need as many.
Wall anchor template coming soon…

And when the time comes that you have made this model into a nice peace of furniture that cheers your heart as it helps you to be organized you are welcome to come back here and boost this model again :D Thank you.
Enjoy!
here is a helpful explanation for how you may select the parts in the BOM that are right for your configuration of the FAST-RACK…
Carbon Steel Flat Washer: are for when you use wall anchor screws to secure or even wall mount this model to your wall, the washers help spread the compression of the screw when the screws are tightened all the way. how ever MakerWorld does not sell screws that I would recommend for using as wall anchor screws. I wish they did and I wish they sold 6-32 screws they are vary common size and similar to M3 screws.
20x20mm Square Double Sided Foam Tape: is not for wall mounting but for securing the FAST-RACK to a wall that has a textured surface like a spackled wall or textured wall panels that are popular in some homes. these are the best size for covering the screw hole in the back of the FAST-RACK and can be used in conjunction with wall anchor screws to minimize squeaking noise that may occur when a wall mounted FAST-RACK is loaded down with heavy stuff.
20x0.5mm Adhesive Foam Sponge Strip Roll 5m: is for textured walls that are brick painted with Low-E (Low Energy) paint. Low E paint resists tacky tape from sticking to it so you may need a lot more square area to make contact with the wall than the [20x20mm Square Double Sided Foam Tape] one local client used this to fill irregular gaps in a Low-E painted brick wall, and it helped secure his FAST-RACK in the top of a large high rise building in the elevator motor control room because all the walls are painted with white color low-E paint so that the brake dust from the elevator motor brakes do not stick to the walls. but a bunch of rolls of tape helped keep his fast rack in place up against the Low-E painted brick wall.
Transparent Double-Sided Adhesive: this works well for attaching the FAST-RACK to metal appliances or very flat smooth walls or surfaces, the attach to the FAST-RACK typically were the screw holes are and they do not compress like the foam does so it makes vary large structures feel more sturdy, I think they are better than foam but they only work on very flat smooth surfaces where the foam stickers or tape accommodate irregular shapes and textured walls as already mentioned above.
Round 30mm Dual Lock 3M SJ3550 Reclosable Fastener Mounting Tape: these need reasonably flat walls, and have flexability that is in between foam and the transparent adhesives. but these are used in Print farm situation or where the FAST-RACKs modularity is exploited the most by making the FAST-RACK secure to a wall and allows for the FAST-RACK to be removed from the wall and moved to another area or replaced with different stack of FAST-RACK. its easier to move the fast rack than to move a bunch of printers and reconnect them to power etc.
