Description

Note: A single label can be printed in +/- 24 minutes containing 10.3g of filament (multi color). Each kind of filament type card is positioned on a separate plate(see first print profile).

Future update(s):

After given feedback i'm going to add print profiles for each kind of filament type & color. Apparently the label wasn't easy to use, the Bambu Handy app could not be used. Stay tuned!

UPDATE 2025-08-02:

  • Print profile for Universal Customizable Filament Label;
    • This label template is fully customizable, allowing you to edit all fields to suit any filament brand. Ideal for generic use across different manufacturers. Please note that adding a logo—such as the original Bambu Lab logo—is not supported in this version.

    • PLA Matte All colors - part 1 & 2
    • PLA Wood All colors

Updated:

  • Updated print profile with all filament types; added PLA Wood.

UPDATE 2025-04-09 - v1.6:
Added:

  • Added hex code next to color code - feedback from @Righteous_Ruin
  • Print profile: PLA Basic All colors - part 1. @Righteous_Ruin made clear it wasn't easy to print via Handy app. This solves that issue.
    Note: Had to split the amount of filament colors into separate print profiles otherwise the printer gave a HMS error, on several labels, that it was unable to find the AMS mapping. This caused the printer to wait without switching filament. Don't know how to solve this but splitting it up fixed this issue. Part 2 is coming soon.

UPDATE 2025-03-16 - v1.6:

Added:

  • ABS. Requested by @user_1498887446. Note: I don't have ABS filament, which is why the label in the photo is printed in PLA.

UPDATE 2025-03-08 - v1.5:

Added:

UPDATE 2025-03-06 - v1.4 :

Added:

  • PETG HF label. Decided that making the field adjustable isn't working because of misalignment. If you want a different type of filament please let me know.
  • Filament name; e.g. Bambu green.

Initial post:

When my previous Bambu Lab order was delivered, I found out that the label had changed;

I printed tools that need the old label format. I couldn't find a replacement on MakerWorld, so I made this model.

I tried to recreate the label. It has the same dimensions and therefor it fits e.g. this tool: https://makerworld.com/en/models/752566-ams-filament-label-holder#profileId-686467

but it will also fits in the cereal boxes next to a drying box like https://makerworld.com/en/models/820876-modular-filament-storage-for-dry-box-desiccant-box#profileId-763927 . @user_94074499 reported that it also fits this label holder: https://makerworld.com/en/models/945536-filament-rack-label-holder-for-bambu-lab-spools#profileId-912202 .

The label is customizable; values can be adjusted this way:

  • check `Objects` tab
  • look for ` - value` texts
  • Right click
  • Edit text

It is set up as multi-color. Just adjust the color you want or make it a mix, some ideas;

  1. black card, white letters and Filament color indicator in the color the card is for
  2. all same color
  3. card color 1 and text color of filament code

If you have any feedback, please let me know!

Happy printing!

These are awesome. Could you make a PLA-Wood/Marble/Silk/Galaxy and PETG-Translucent templates?

Thanks for printing, boosting and sharing your picture! 😃 Definitely! I'm working on expanding the filament types and improving user-friendliness by making it compatible for the Bambu Lab Handy app. Do you have a preference for which filament type I should start with next (after PLA & PLA Matte)? Side-note; don't have 1 of those filament types (yet), will probably have to print it with PLA.

Wow, that looks amazing! 🤩 Thanks for sharing the image and boosting the model. I really appreciate it! Due to another project that’s nearly complete, I had to pause adding additional types for a bit. Once that project wraps up, I’ll continue expanding the collection. I’ll start with dual color and sparkle types. When you mention dual color, do you mean something like this? https://eu.store.bambulab.com/products/pla-silk-multi-color

PLA Basic - All colors - part 2
Printing all of these for consistency. I like the white background over the black and at 0.10 Standard they come out great.

Thank you for the kind review! The result looks great, and I agree that a white background works better for some of the colors. Could you clarify what you meant by 0.1? Are you referring to the layer height? I really appreciate the double boost, it means a lot!

Apologies for the 0.10 vagueness. When using the 0.2 nozzle, the default is 0.10 Standard.

Thanks for printing and your kind words! 😊 May I ask why the filament code looks strange? It should be as readable as the rest. 🤔

Some things just make life easier and this is one of those things. Once a fully editable version is available so non Bambu brands are catered for then it will move into a different league of useful. Thank you for sharing.

I’ve added the Universal Customizable Filament Label, which you can find here: 🔗 https://makerworld.com/en/models/1169040-bambu-lab-box-label#profileId-1760450 This version allows you to fully customize all text fields to suit any filament brand. Please note that, to maintain flexibility, it’s not possible to add brand logos—only text customization is supported. I hope this print profile meets your needs. Happy printing!
