Description

This is a replica of the Porsche Design Chronograph 1 watch, scaled up to be a wall clock.

It fits regular quartz movements.

Detailed instructions will follow. Some gluing is required. Due to the size of the quartz movement and limitation of clock size on the print bed, it was necessary to move the movement mechanism to the back so it doesn't interfere with the day/date wheels.

The day/date wheels move independently and can be set daily.

Enjoy. Please post photos of makes!

It would be awesome if you could make a similar design of the old Lexus IS300 gauge cluster too! https://www.reddit.com/r/iPhoneography/comments/xnber0/lexus_is300_instrument_cluster/

Looks neat! Just the main circle cluster? Everything true to design (numbers), or converted to look like a clock? I’ll play around with it, but it seems pretty straight forward

yeah, just that main circle cluster. basically the same as how you've done with this Porsche design. It's the same one in my daily driver and I've always thought it looked real classy

I’m about 75% done it. Worked on it last evening and found the right fonts. Should have something to upload by this evening. I’ll include the Fusion360 file incase anyone wants to make modifications to it.

For the face, I slowed down print speed and it improved the resolution significantly. Also, I need to upload a version of the day wheel with supports.

I have problems printing the Day wheel, (plate 4) the center print well but the rest of the wheel fails, since its floating. I'm new to 3D printing and I do not know how to print this without wasting filament. Also, any instructions of how it goes together? the face dial of the clock seems way too small for the ring bezel. I'd appreciate any advice.
