Bill of Materials
Description
A simple jig to make sure my magnets are aligned and also serves as a tool for securing press-fitted magnets. The tool has a magnet on each side that I use to align other magnets and push them in for press-fitting.
How I use it
The arrow always points in the direction of what is going to be the top of the project:
- When I press a magnet into the top of a Gridfinity baseplate, the arrow on the jig points up, so I'm using the bottom of the jig to press the magnet into the baseplate.
- When I press a magnet into the bottom of a Gridfinity bin, the arrow points down, towards the top of the bin, so I'm using the top of the jig to press the magnet into the bottom of the bin.
The tool holds 2 magnets (6x2) - one on each side. Make sure that they are aligned correctly when pushing them in, because they determine the alignment of the magnets that you align and press using this tool.
