To prevent kite string injuries during rides, I designed my own cutter after finding existing designs unsatisfactory
Simply affix to the front windshield
This is a one-piece version with an upper blade

- Use 1mm thick 3M adhesive for mounting
Uses an 11# carving blade
Why use 3M adhesive?
- Drilling holes in the windshield is quite cumbersome
- I was concerned that a clamp might not secure it sufficiently, potentially allowing the kite string to pull it away
- After testing, 3M adhesive proved sufficiently secure
