Description

Monster Hunter Bone Greatsword, about 4 ½ ft long.

First attempt at making a 3d print profile from a 3d model. The 3d model had a few issues and I don't know how to use blender. I tried to use the least amount of supports and make them easy to come off. I printed two of them trying to make adjustments as I went. Not sure if it was because of the 3d model, using older filament or warping, but I had some alignment issues, it's noticeable, but not sure what's causing it. I suggest dry fitting the top 4 pieces before gluing them.

Added two plates of the bottom of the sword with the emblems printed separately.

Added handguard part with tree supports.

Added two plates with the top parts with fangs with length adjustments. It made a little difference to help with alignment.

Added some different size connectors since I had some alignment issues.

supports are pretty easy to remove.

This thing is freaking sweet. Big fan of MH and I am so glad I found this print on here. Used CA glue to glue all the pieces together, had to fenagle a couple with some fennesse and some soldering tricks I youtubed. Then just spray painted it up and I am stoked with it. Taking it to the Ren faire to show it off!
