Description
ATTENTION! MODIFICATIONS HAVE BEEN MADE TO THE ORIGINAL PROJECT, AND I WISH TO EXPLAIN WHY
Sixteen hours after publication, I was contacted by the OWNER of JRW Gear
Their initial message was abrupt, asserting copyright infringement on their products
They demanded removal of all files based on JRW Gear designs that I had uploaded (two files)
They requested removal of all Facebook posts linking to my files of their allegedly “stolen” designs
They emailed Makerworld regarding the copyright claim even before contacting me
Despite their initially firm and direct message, we engaged in a brief, amicable discussion
They did not claim copyright on the tray I published—understandably, as I designed it entirely based on my needs—but on all items inspired by their designs (essentially all those with a pyramid pattern)
Mr J W: “Especially pyramid options, it's a conflict with my business and also my customers
I explained that I do not sell these products and that my licensing does not permit their sale
However, I replaced the coin previously included in this project and removed the file Desk Organizer Pyramids (circular) Furthermore, I had planned to post another tray with a rectangular pyramid pattern, and no JRW Gear product exists with this form (but I will reconsider, I do not wish to cause further trouble)
Firstly, the files I published were designed entirely from scratch For the Desk Organizer Pyramids, the dimensions differ from their Round Curator Tray in PVC; I determined the dimensions based on the print bed and my personal aesthetic preferences
To “replicate” the Round Curator Tray took me less than 40 minutes and 12 steps in Fusion (and I am a design novice)
Now, I understand their perspective and the annoyance of seeing one's designs replicated (which is why I removed the files), but to claim these files could damage their business is laughable
As I conveyed in our messages, their products’ strength lies in their BRANDING and materials (rubber PVC, mokuti, titanium, zirconium, brass, etc)
The tactile feel of 3D-printed PLA/PETG/ABS cannot compare to rubber PVC products (referencing their PVC products)

Hello EDC community
This tray was initially designed to accommodate JRW Gear inserts, but I subsequently designed all inserts to provide a complete tray for those without or unwilling to purchase JRW Gear inserts
This tray's modules will assist in disassembling and assembling your EDC gear
The modules can hold:
1) EDC Screwdriver Hex Bit ¼ (max 17mm diameter)
2) 12 ¼ bits
3) 2 10ml bottles (max 22mm diameter)
4) Tweezers
5) Micro swabs
Two central insert models:

Furthermore, I incorporated two noteworthy features into this tray:
The option of using genuine non-slip feet with O-rings
OD 16mm - ID 10mm - CS 3mm

And a ¼ bit holder on the lower left side for dismantling those irksome “free-spinning” screws
