K1 MAX - Housing Extension for Lid
Print Profile(0)
Description
I have designed a simple housing extension for the glass lid of the K1 MAX - space-saving, without any frills. 😉 This prevents the filament tube from rubbing against the lid. 👍🙂
That is, if I need air in the printer, I take the lid off and hang it on the side of the printer.
The element is simply printed in 4 sections, arranged diagonally on the plate, and then assembled. I set 5 wall lines, 50% triangular infill, and automatic standard supports to ensure everything, especially the connecting pins, is sufficiently stable.
If you want to disassemble it later, you should slightly widen the grooves with a fine file before assembly. Otherwise, you won't be able to take it apart after assembly.
For cushioning and sealing, I glued approximately 3mm high Armaflex tape to the edges where the lid rests.
The images show how the strip looks individually and assembled, as well as in the 3D view.
The colors here are only for better visualization. 🙂
