Description

From Wiki:

"The Bartini Beriev VVA-14 Vertikaľno-Vzletayushchaya Amfibiya (vertical take-off amphibious aircraft) was a wing-in-ground-effect aircraft developed in the Soviet Union during the early 1970s. Designed to be able to take off from the water and fly at high speed over long distances, it was to make true flights at high altitude, but also have the capability of flying efficiently just above the sea surface, using aerodynamic ground effect. The VVA-14 was designed by Hungarian-born designer Robert Bartini in answer to a perceived requirement to destroy United States Navy Polaris missile submarines. The final aircraft was retired in 1987."

This model is based on another wonderful STL provided by Captain_Ahab_62 on Thingiverse.  Scaled down to 1:200 scale, seam lines adjusted, and positioned for better printing.

Printed in Bambu PLA Basic White, detailed with acrylic markers by in-house 10y.o. airplane enthusiast.

Great model you've got, rescaled to 1:400 scale like your martin mars model, pretty small, I think I did pretty good with coloring, definitely will rescale more of your 1:200 scale models

Just like the DC-10, this is a great model. I recently watched Mustard’s video on the VVA-14 and soon, I was intrigued. I immediately wanted one, and I opened Makerworld expecting not to find one, but here it is. Just an hour an 54 minutes later, I have my very own Soviet Submarine Hunter! It printed great, looked just like the real thing, and had supports that were easy to remove. 14 stars!
