DUMMY 13 loves COMIC CON!

So I have started to design a whole series of characters and costumes for DUMMY 13. This is another character from the series "DUMMY13 goes to COMIC CON".

The aim is to preserve the charm and simplicity of Dummy 13.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Content:

  • Head with laser and antennas
  • Mask
  • Female body with details and antenna
  • Forearm for grippers or assaultron saw blade

By combining the parts you can assemble different assaultron versions:

  • Assaultron original/invader: Two grippers
  • Assaultron dominator: Two saw blades

Or just as you like ;)

The provided 3MF file can be used with:

  • Orca Slicer/Bambu Studio: Geometries , filament and settings
  • Prusa Slicer:  At least the geometries
  • Others: May or may not work. Please do not expect any support for other software

In principle:

Always consider the basics of 3D printing (cleaning the PEI sheet, dry filament, etc.) and use glue if needed.

  • I followed the printing instruction of the original DUMMY13 model but printed the parts with 0.10/0.12mm layer height. The 3mf is set to 0.12mm. Do not exceed 0.15mm layer height if you adjust it!
  • However, I have also added extra inner brim to some parts to achieve better adhesion
  • The first layer speed was not changed, so feel free to adjust it if needed
  • Use PLA for armor/head and PETG for the frame parts
  • Arachne wall generator is a MUST!

Assembly:

The model is assembled in exactly the same way as the original DUMMY13. I strongly recommend that you take a look at the excellent instructions for the original model.

Head:

  • Glue the head antennas and the mask parts onto the head
  • Use a piece of red filament as head laser and cut it accordingly
  • I recommend grinding the outer side a little round. That looks much better :)

Elbows:

  • There are two different versions of the elbows:
    • Original version
    • Alternative version as seen on the picture. Assembly could be a little more challenging. Use pliers, but with care
  • Use a piece of filament and glue it into the gripper. Then cut the filament so that the gripper sits flush on the forearm and use glue to fix it in place

Torso:

  • A piece of filament is inserted into the torso as an antenna

Your feedback is welcome and I'd love to read some comments and see some makes, so get to work and have fun :)
