What You Get

Knurled knobs in three diameters (26mm, 31mm, 36mm) in up to four heights (15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm) per diameter.

Oblong knobs in four lengths (dependent on shaft diameter for different insert sizes, but averaging around 25mm, 30mm, 40mm, 50mm) and up to those same four heights.

The knurled knobs additionally include the 26mm diameter size at all four heights with notches and an included “wrench”. These are perfect for tight spaces where it can be difficult to tighten them down securely. 

Insert Sizes

I have initially included the primary 3mf and eight additional print profiles for heat set inserts easily found on Amazon in sizes M4, M5, M6, 1/4-20 and 5/16-18. The 3mf files and the profile names designate what heat set insert size they are for plus .1mm.

For example, the profile labeled as 6.4 ID is designed for an insert with this 6.3mm dimension (this one happens to be for a M5):

The initial sizes I created are 5.1, 5.6, 6.2, 6.4, 7.2, 7.5, 8.0, 9.1, and 9.6 for the following size fasteners

5.1, 5.6 (M4); 6.2, 6.4 (M5); 7.2 (M6); 7.5 (1/4-20); 8.0, 9.1 (M6 & 1/4-20); 9.6 (5/16-18)

If you have inserts with a size not listed or would like knobs with different dimensions just let me know! I'll do my best to try and create them for you.

(I put a lot of time and testing into my models, good print profile ratings and boosts are appreciated!)

Update 3/8/2025

Added a knob wrench with through hole for bolts that protrude through knob too far to use the solid wrench. The 3mf file has been added to the print profiles.
