Description

Now you can design your own custom needle pusher for your flatbed knitting machine. Works for 8mm gauge and more just enter your gauge under “Customization”.

 

You specify your desired gauge and the pattern. If you want a 1x2 or a 1x2x5x3x4, etc... you choose! 

 

There is a "pattern" variable where you tell it which needles to push (using a 1) and which needles to leave alone (using a 0). For example, if you want a needle pusher that spans 10 needles and you want every other needle to be pushed, the pattern would be: 1,0,1,0,1,0,1,0,1,0

You can also specify the thickness. I used a default of 2.5mm but if you want it thinner to save printer filament, you can do that. You should leave it thick enough that it can withstand “pushing” the needles into the desired position.

 

The needle clearance refers to how much room you need to pass over a needle that is not to be pushed. My Ultimate Sweater Machine needs about 5mm clearance but I set the default to 10mm. You shouldn't need to change that value.

 

Once you customize it as desired, download the STL file for printing. Please consider this for personal use only, not for resale or commercial use.
