Instead of uploading the usual filament rack for the BILLY Bookcase that uses generic metal rods, I figured, I'd make the “One-Stop-Shop” solution (minus screws)! You can source all of your parts directly from IKEA!
Gone are the days of voyaging far and away to IKEA, to then have to order some poles online and wait for shipping. Simply measure the width of your particular BILLY and cut your RACKA to size. Screw it all in to the existing shelf peg holes and it just works. Holds up to 88 spools on an 800mm wide BILLY! *with 8 rows
I have the 80cm wide BILLY and used a 210-385cm RACKA, so using both inner and outer poles cut to the right length, I made 2 racks. That would be cutting each pole in ~76cm lengths which fit twice into each inner and outer pole with some left over of around 40cm. Obviously this will change depending on the width of your Billy.
Please Note: This model will fit the 280mm deep BILLY Bookcase and 420mm deep BESTA units only.
I used 5.0 x 20mm T25 wood screws to mount the brackets to the bookcase.
I have printed mine in PLA and they easily hold a full row of 11 spools! (11KG!)
