For homeowners, renovators, craftsmen, building superintendents, or geocachers.

This so-called architect's key is a must-have on any construction site.

During a complete renovation of a building at my workplace, the installation of doors quickly made it clear that a useful tool was needed here.

So I fired up OnShape and designed this part.

I have already printed many of these, as many architects, specialist planners, and craftsmen did not have one.

It works perfectly and is truly robust.

Even heavy doors without handles can be opened very easily thanks to the large lever.

The key is simply perfect!

The shaft features a 5mm incremental scale, which can be used to determine the profile cylinder that needs to be installed in the door; not every door is equally thick and the same from each side.

It has already been printed with PLA and ABS; both materials are well-suited.
