Description

IKEA 365+ Drybox/Filament Storage

The Ikea 365+ 10,6l Box  is perfect for air tight filament storage. In combination with the silica container in the front it becomes a great option to store 2 filament roles. Due to the 4 rotating axis you can print the filament directly out of the boxes.

There are simmilar models on makerworld already but i wanted to integrate some more features so i did my own.

The silica container can be taken out easily by two handles without removing any of the other parts. If you print it in ASA CF or ABS GF you can put the whole container with the silica gel in an dryer (70° C or higher)

What else do you need?

8x 608 zz Bearing

2x M8 Threaded Rod (157 mm per piece)

1x Hygrometer

These are very comon products and you can find them on amazon, aliexpress, etc.

I would recommend to go with the threaded M8 Rod you can also print yourself an 8 mm axis (length 157 mm)

Of course it can be printed in PLA/PETG aswell, but i wanted to keep the silica gel in the container when regenerating. Since i want to dry it fast i need at least 70° C to dry it. This is where PETG and PLA is not the right material anymore. If you dry with lower temperature it is no problem to use PLA/PETG.

It is not possible to print all of it on the A1 mini. The filament holder is too big. You can split the filament holder into two parts and glue it together.

I will make a second Printprofile for an “only Storage” solution with a fixed axis soon.

This really helped me to organize filaments and keep them dry. I hope it does for you too.

Hi, for those who want an alternatieve to the 157mm M8 metal rods, I just created and printed hexagon 157mm rods instead. Works like a charm. (hexagona print more easily then round ones)

Hey great work the boxes are really awesome I have some hygrometers lying around here whose noses are rotated 30 degrees counterclockwise so unfortunately they are crooked Do you think you could create a variant where the recesses for the hygrometer are also rotated

That would be great! Exactly, when you look at the box from the front, the notches should be rotated exactly 30 degrees counterclockwise

Super solid design. Haven’t been able to use the rollers yet but they seem like they’ll work well when I get around to that project
