Description
This is the statement made by Rutger Hauer, playing the replicant Roy Batty in Blade Runner (1982) just prior to his death. According to Wikipedia…"Critic Mark Rowlands described it as "perhaps the most moving death soliloquy in cinematic history", and it is commonly viewed as the defining moment of Hauer's acting career." And, "After filming the scene …,members of the crew applauded, with some even in tears. In an interview with Dan Jolin, Hauer said that these final lines showed that Batty wanted to "make his mark on existence ... the replicant in the final scene, by dying, shows Deckard what a real man is made of" Blade Runner is one of my (and my son's) favorite movies of all-time. I made this as a gift to him. Enjoy….
