Description

New version of my old tripod. A lot of improvements and implementation of wishes from you. It is print in place and the legs should be able to move  easily (If not pleas comment). Much easier to assemble and the triangles are for different heights. There are 3 leg sizes. Only a small metal wire has to be glued into the camera screw (I recomend using an metal screw for the camera for more stability) and the two middle parts have to be glued.

I also uploaded the Camera screw stl without the hole.

For the handles you need  two M4x40 Allen bolt. They can, but don't need to be glued.

If you have any questions or suggestions for improvment, please comment.

Generally very good, it would be great if the legs could be adjusted a little more, but overall a good model Upload instructions, even if assembly is easy, it always looks more professional

Thank you for printing the model. There are already two different heights for the tripods. Would you like a lower or higher one? Or longer legs?

A1 PLA, printed all parts on same buildplate at once. The hinges don't work, all three broke when I tried to bend.

I am sorry to hear that. What Filament brand did you use and which printer? (on your photo the print quality looks not quite perfect 😬)

I will start off by saying I realize how much time and effort goes into designing and using CAD to make things, just some constructive criticism. The supports are a little tricky to remove, but this is to be expected in this type of print. However, GoPro uses size M5 screws, this model calls for M4 screws (not really sure why you would change that so the original hardware can't fit), but then the round screw handles will not fit M4 screws, they fit M3? I saw your reply to another commenter about the hole being tight so you don't have to use glue, but it's tight! I would make it slightly bigger (wouldn't take much .02-0.3mm?). I chose not to use the upper parts that have to be glued, because I personally find that kind of articulation is necessary (just spin it the way you want it to face). But you could make those one part and use the slicer to cut with the dowel or snap function in conjunction with glue. I would change it to use the original hardware (M5). I used Luminous Melody PLA.

Very good print but the adapters could definitely still be improved to serve various purposes without gluing and so on

This works but I feel it could be done without glue... Maybe there will be a v3? :)
