Threaded Faceplate Adapter
Print Profile(1)

Description
UPDATE: Added a 1" x 8TPI threaded version per request. I have not tested that file personally but it was created from the original parametric fusion model.
This is a threaded faceplate adapter for a 1 ¼ 8tpi lathe spindle. Pictured here on my Powermatic 3520. I wouldn't recommend using a plastic faceplate for turning but it can be helpful to hold a piece for carving, sanding, etc. There are times where it's nice to have multiple faceplates and just leave the faceplate attached. Part of why I made this was testing out the fit one my spindle for vacuum chucks that I'm working with. Use at your own discretion.
Variable line height was turned down to 0.12 for the threads to get a clean print.

Printed in PETG the fit was perfect for me. With ABS (like the one pictured) it was a hair tight. You can get it on and off a few times and it loosens up. I used a tap to clean up the threads. The ABS shrinks about 0.5% for me, so you could scale up as well. See my threaded adapter if you want to test the fit first.
I sanded the edges down (180-400 grit) and then finished with a wipe of acetone while it was spinning on the lathe.
If you'd like to leave a tip/buy me a coffee I'd appreciate it!
